Pair # 1: Ready, Set, Red.

Back in November 2010 marked my initial move from the suburban bubble of Fairfield County to the greatest city known to humankind: New York, NY. So in celebration, I decided to do what any girl would do: buy something completely outrageous in the eyes of her credit card, but that something was outrageously AWESOME to me - the "Lady Peep" shoe.

Lady Peep - Black - $845

After buying these lavish 6-inch, ball-busting, walk-it-out/watch where you step before you break an ankle kind of heels, I realized that yes I did have places to wear them (i.e. in the downstairs lounge at Ella on numerous occasions)...so obviously that reasoning alone left me feeling more satisfied than scarfing down a Grande Vanilla Latte (hold the "Skinny").

As you can see, I've had some great times in these shoes...(yup...that really happened).

(From L to R: Sara, Lauren, me, Shannon)

Thanks for not letting me near Photo Hunt that night, ladies

Continuing to walk along these streets with my head held high and not looking at the ground to make sure I don't step in anything that would potentially ruin my red soles, has been a challenge, yes. However, I'm glad to say that despite some trips, dips, and almost shit-eating encounters, I've managed to accept the fact that taking baby steps is just the nature of the beast.

Got a story? Do tell it here! Secrets, secrets are meant for everyone!

Ciao!
