"Hello? It's Me, Shoes!"

Happy Fashion Week & Happy Birth (not birthday yet, we just started!) to the first The Red Sole Diaries post!

Let's talk about something that every girl and fashionisto-alike loves, and no it's not chocolate or calorie related. Although a nice glass of wine would be nice right now...it's shoes.

I admit, there once was a time I knew nothing about shoes. Clueless could be the word to summarize.

I was out of touch with what was in style, who was responsible for the creation of a particular design, and how expensive a single pair of shoes could really prove to be. Granted, I was 16 years old and was devoting all of my time and interest in to what the next Juicy Couture velour and/or terry cloth jumpsuit I was going to purchase. This was strictly dependent on the season, obviously. The troubles of my teenage past consisted of finding the right Chi straightener and wondering who was going to drive my friends and I from each raging high school party that weekend (as a side note, those parties were always broken up within the first 20 minutes...every time).

Thanks to my mother, whose closet I envy I might add, introduced me to what would forever be known as my passion: shoes. After years of speculating, trying on and taking off, and walking away from shoes that were just not the right fit, I was able to find the perfect designer, shape, heel height, and personality that encompassed all of the characteristics of sophistication, intensity, and downright the shit (yes, I'm considering that as a characteristic. Just go with it).

Christian Louboutins.

Follow me on my journey through the buyings and tryings of my first, second, and now third pair of these coveted puppies! We'll also take a look at the hottest celebrities who rock these shoes from day to night, party to party, and all in between. Time to strap on your Daffodils (or Decollettes - wearing those at work today!) ladies and work it while trying not to fall over on the cobble-stoned streets of New York. I've done it...

Ciao!
