Precursor: Wedding Edition Part Un

This year is going to be chock-filled with weddings left and right, weekend after weekend, tear after tear, and so forth. Everyone is getting hitched! My boyfriend and I will be attending approximately five or six weddings in the upcoming months, where we will see a plethora of flowers, tulle dresses, garter belts, and wedding parties getting down on the d-floor. I can't wait to dance. I love dance parties. 


Having a very in-depth conversation regarding future nuptials over glasses (note the plural) of red wine and eating creme brulee with a close friend, we discussed and described every detail of our future weddings, even though we are both nowhere to be engaged anytime soon. Isn't it true that every girl dreams about her big day in full fairy tale detail, from the color scheme, to the "song", down to the last stitch in the hemline of her custom-made gown? If you disagree, you're probably a dude. Because in reality, we do. 


Tomorrow, one of my oldest friends will be tying the knot to her long-term boyfriend turned fiance, and I couldn't be more excited for her. This will be the day that she has been waiting for, for 24 years, and it's finally here. Not to mention, the happy couple are both full-blooded Italian so you know the ceremony and reception will be quite the party! 


We have surprises and of course the glamglittery (new word, pass it on) Loubies will be in tow. It's a celebration!

I woke up this morning to find a text from "Mama" light up on my phone. It was an image of her at the Neiman Marcus Gala last night for their grand opening in Walnut Creek, San Francisco, standing by the "Christian Louboutin" BAG area, specifically clutches! Well done, Mom.

Here she is looking all Vanna White and posing next to the lucite name stand that is holding the latest handbags from his Spring/Summer 2012 collection. Is that the "Pigalle Crystallized Clutch" I see? I thought so!

The gorgeous former professional wrestler turned into George Clooney's arm candy is looking fierce in her slate-blue, one shoulder cut-out shift dress and "Simple 100" Louboutin pumps at the grand opening of the Audi of Beverly Hills dealership last night. She's keeping her overall ensemble relatively simple and streamlined with minimal accessories, and allowing her long blonde flowing locks and serious physique to do all the talking! 

Congratulations Clooney, you win again.

Loubies in Paree for Fashion Week!

As Paris Fashion Week comes to an end, we get to see the remaining final collections of these haute couture designers displayed on our computers - or if you were lucky enough to see these works of art in person, bravo - including one of our favorite designers, Collette Dinnigan. Collette hosted her Fall 2012/Winter 2013 collection in the ballroom of Le Meurice Hotel. 

Each piece represented an element of romanticism and illusion with the mix of metallic and matte lace adorning the models in different forms. Not to mention, she used Christian Louboutin heels to complete each ensemble that graced the catwalk. This addition only adds to the feminine appeal that viewers get to witness per each strut.

Jessica Simpson Talks Louboutin in ELLE

Jessica Simpson graces the cover of the April issue of ELLE looking extremely pregnant and extremely naked. She is pretty much leaving nothing to the imagination, including slipping the news that she is having a baby girl!


Jessica is so excited to be a mom and hopes that her little lady will grow up to be the fashionista that she herself has grown to be. 


She says, "Ah swear, ah will croak if she asks me for a pair of Nikes instead of Christian Louboutins!” Smart girl. Now if Mr. Louboutin can start making little Loubies...

We are excited to welcome the newest Simpson/Johnson to the world, hopefully she will be given a onesie with little Loubie bootie feet. Ahh, just think about it!

Inside the Celebrity (Amazing Loubie Shoe) Kloset of Kim Kardashian

Well slap me in the face and call me obsessed, but I think I have a closet crush on Kim Kardashian...get it? In the latest issue of US Weekly, Ms. K. snapped photos of her very own shoe collection to celebrate Paris Fashion Week. Color coordinated to a T, Kim has got racks on racks on racks of platform, slingback, pump, peep-toe, bootie, and all in between Loubies.

Takin' It to the Streets: Eva Longoria Style

Well, hello there Ms. Longoria! It's been a while. Before we go any further, let's just take a moment to notice Eva's ultra cashic (pronounced "cash-sheek"),which means it's casual/chic, outfit she is rocking as she's leaving the hair salon in Beverly Hills. (On a side note, I'm so completely jealous the weather is that warm enough in California to not even need a jacket, let alone a parka! New York has been freezing, and I am SO ready for a heat wave!)

I've always been a fan of a taupe and coral combo, especially in these muted tones. To compliment her just-Spring attire, she decided to pair cargo skinnies with wooden Loubie sandals. I'm a fan.

Field of Dreams... in Daffodiles

There's something about the "Daffodile" platform that makes me weak in the knees, and no it's not because I can't walk in them given the heel height is roughly 6 inches. If need be, I could run in them...wait no, I would never run in Loubies (unless it's to catch a cab or to the nearest sale). The artistic vision of this shoe was brought on by such drama and sex appeal, somewhat dominatrix meets stripper with a heavy dose of class. The deep emerald color with satin finish is so luxurious, almost rare-like. 

 

For the upcoming warmer seasons, my goal is to buy a pair of "Daffodile" platforms and do so without any hesitation or regret that I just spent my entire rent and then some on a single pair of shoes. However if you put it into perspective, you are helping out the economy and at this day and age, every penny counts! 

Here are some of my favorite "Daffodile" platforms that I hope to strap on my size 37 feet all before I'm 30, considering it may take that long to save up for them. Let's do this! 

Now, these shoes may scare some people (i.e. boys) but honestly they should be impressed that women have the confidence to wear these stilts! 

If anyone is feeling charitable today, please donate your change to my penny jar. I will be sitting outside of my office on Park Avenue with a really dramatic sign saying "Donate for Daffodiles" :)
