This year is going to be chock-filled with weddings left and right, weekend after weekend, tear after tear, and so forth. Everyone is getting hitched! My boyfriend and I will be attending approximately five or six weddings in the upcoming months, where we will see a plethora of flowers, tulle dresses, garter belts, and wedding parties getting down on the d-floor. I can't wait to dance. I love dance parties.
Having a very in-depth conversation regarding future nuptials over glasses (note the plural) of red wine and eating creme brulee with a close friend, we discussed and described every detail of our future weddings, even though we are both nowhere to be engaged anytime soon. Isn't it true that every girl dreams about her big day in full fairy tale detail, from the color scheme, to the "song", down to the last stitch in the hemline of her custom-made gown? If you disagree, you're probably a dude. Because in reality, we do.
Tomorrow, one of my oldest friends will be tying the knot to her long-term boyfriend turned fiance, and I couldn't be more excited for her. This will be the day that she has been waiting for, for 24 years, and it's finally here. Not to mention, the happy couple are both full-blooded Italian so you know the ceremony and reception will be quite the party!
We have surprises and of course the glamglittery (new word, pass it on) Loubies will be in tow. It's a celebration!
