Takin' It to the Streets: Eva Longoria Style

Well, hello there Ms. Longoria! It's been a while. Before we go any further, let's just take a moment to notice Eva's ultra cashic (pronounced "cash-sheek"),which means it's casual/chic, outfit she is rocking as she's leaving the hair salon in Beverly Hills. (On a side note, I'm so completely jealous the weather is that warm enough in California to not even need a jacket, let alone a parka! New York has been freezing, and I am SO ready for a heat wave!)

I've always been a fan of a taupe and coral combo, especially in these muted tones. To compliment her just-Spring attire, she decided to pair cargo skinnies with wooden Loubie sandals. I'm a fan.

Field of Dreams... in Daffodiles

There's something about the "Daffodile" platform that makes me weak in the knees, and no it's not because I can't walk in them given the heel height is roughly 6 inches. If need be, I could run in them...wait no, I would never run in Loubies (unless it's to catch a cab or to the nearest sale). The artistic vision of this shoe was brought on by such drama and sex appeal, somewhat dominatrix meets stripper with a heavy dose of class. The deep emerald color with satin finish is so luxurious, almost rare-like. 

 

For the upcoming warmer seasons, my goal is to buy a pair of "Daffodile" platforms and do so without any hesitation or regret that I just spent my entire rent and then some on a single pair of shoes. However if you put it into perspective, you are helping out the economy and at this day and age, every penny counts! 

Here are some of my favorite "Daffodile" platforms that I hope to strap on my size 37 feet all before I'm 30, considering it may take that long to save up for them. Let's do this! 

Now, these shoes may scare some people (i.e. boys) but honestly they should be impressed that women have the confidence to wear these stilts! 

If anyone is feeling charitable today, please donate your change to my penny jar. I will be sitting outside of my office on Park Avenue with a really dramatic sign saying "Donate for Daffodiles" :)

Celebrity Loubie Sightings: Demi Lovato

Oh, Miss Demi Lovato. This chick has been all over the map and not necessarily in the best of lights. Through struggles and strife, she has come out the other side looking better than ever. In a cute white shirt dress, black Muubaa leather jacket, and matching "Black Daf Booty" CL's, she seems to be confident and ready to reboot her career. We're on Team Lovato! We just hope she doesn't date Wilmer Valderrama again, he's creepy and "Fez" is no longer current.

It's 5" Friday

At 11:30pm on a Friday night, I am now able to post my 5" Friday adventure. Our girl, SZ, was under the weather this week so she will start back up again next week - even feeling blue, she already came up with some great ideas for us to prance around the city in our shoe investments!


This is what we did today....okay so really this is what we did tonight. I came across this photo of a girl wearing baggy sweatpants, a furry structured coat, a white tee and heels. Granted these heels were not Louboutin, but the concept seemed so cool and underrated. Check it out below. 

I absolutely love this look because it's super casual but offers a hint of chicness. We decided to try out the "sweats" look with a more tailored appeal (and no fur because it was too hot in our apartment).

LONG JOHNS! What a hit! One of these days, we will accomplish our Loubie goal and advertise this wonderful juxtaposition of super chic and super casual. If you're ahead of the game, well then you're just awesome.

Pair # 2: Covered In Vegas

Back when I was a blonde (I'm now a redhead), 24 years old (still 24, but 25 in July!), and took my first trip to Vegas (...it was awesome), my second pair of Louboutins hit The Strip hard. Those gorgeous "Glitter Slingback" heels were the perfect pair to complete my "Slassy" <slutty/classy/I'm in Vegas so what else would I wear?> birthday ensemble. 


Here's some history for you. Remember how I mentioned that my mother is the one to blame for my extremely unhealthy yet extremely awesome love for shoes? Welp, she helped me pick these out and I must say we both did that really silent but loud girls scream when my credit card swiped and the register lit up in green saying "APPROVED". She also never liked that leotard I'm wearing above. Whatever, at least my sequined skirt is from J.Crew so it evens out.

Oh the memories...I have pictures to prove they existed such as this, which is usually a dangerous aspect of going to Sin City. But alas, my Loubies made it home with glitter and heel attached. Safe and sound in my AWESOME ELFA CLOSET SYSTEM. Thanks Container Store!

Celebrity Loubie Sightings: Adrienne Bailon

We will call this... a "celebrity Loubie sighting/ presumably-would-happen wardrobe malfunction" because after this photo was taken, Adrienne Bailon's barely there Dominique Auxilly number shifted to the left, exposing herself to just about anyone with and without a camera. Never fear, however! Her backside was only 1/3 covered with black lace, so ya know...she's not flashing everything!

Adrienne, we understand you were in Vegas but even this is somewhat borderline inappropriate. I will award her some points for the leather jacket and plunging neckline (I've always loved that look). AND I will award her more points for wearing her lace Louboutin booties to complete the look. 

HOWEVER, I will take away points because she did not put her hair in a slick pony tail, which would probably have made this malfunction look less slutty. Just saying. Whatever.

Who Wore the "Pigalle" Pump Better: Kate or Olivia?

It's a Loubie face-off between these golden ladies who are both rocking the signature "Pigalle" CL pump in black. Actress Kate Walsh and New York City socialite Olivia Palermo looked stunning in their ensembles as they stopped and posed for the photogs. Do we notice the trend of black with teal accents? Yum-O.


Ms. Walsh is sporting a two-toned body-hugging off the shoulder mini with her classic Loubies during an event for her upcoming fragrance Billionaire Boyfriend. This fragrance is the sequel to her Boyfriend series. Catchy name. 


Across the pond in the City of Lights, Ms. Palermo is ready for Paris Fashion Week and making her rounds in all black from head to Loubie. Chic and sophisticated as always, I believe she wins this battle. Sorry Kate, maybe next time.

Celebrity Loubie Sightings: Katy Perry

Here's another example of divorced women looking better when they're single! I think we see a pattern here. 


Katy Perry never ceases to amaze me with her constant changing looks, hair color, and overall style. We've seen her sporting this sea-foam aqua hue at past events this year (i.e. the Grammy's) and not going to lie, I love it with her blue hairdo. She seriously could wear a rainbow-colored outfit from head to toe if she wanted to and I'd still think she was being edgy and daring. 


During her recent trip to Paris Fashion Week, Ms. Perry grazed the streets in a see-through ensemble accompanied by her "Summerissima Crisscross Platform Sandal" Louboutins in gold/white. Cute!


I'm not obsessed with her outfit here, but I'm also not surprised she went this route. It almost reminds me of the time Gaga was first stamping her mark in the industry and she would walk the streets with no pants on and her platinum blonde hair would be tied in a bow. Awww Gaga throwback moments :)

Oh Em Gee: It's Elisa Sednaoui

Let's... just take a second to discuss who this gorgeous model is. Her name is Elisa Sednaoui, she's 24 and from Brazil, she is fashion's new "It" girl, oh and her godfather is Christian Louboutin.

Christian Loves the Cabaret

Sup? I'm happy I'm back and writing on this thing called a blog about my favorite man shoe in the world - Christian Louboutin. I apologize for being M.I.A. and going 2 full days without the daily updates and buzz...or just anything at all. You can blame my clients. 

I learned something very interesting this morning about our big guy, and it instantly made me of think of one of my favorite movies: Moulin Rouge. Mr. Louboutin is quite the fan of the Parisian cabaret called Crazy Horse. If you've ever heard of this "event," then you know there's a plethora of singing, skin, and sin. Let's just call a spade a spade, it's downright sexual! 

(See what I mean?)

Nevermind the ladies are in the nude, check out their nude sparkle Louboutins! Hot! Yes, that is Mr. Louboutin right smack in the middle, what a gem.

Liza Foreman of the New York Times was able to unfold more detail in regards to Mr. Louboutin's involvement with the show, and it's pretty fantastic. He created a segment of the show called “Feu,” ("Fire” in English), which is scheduled to open on March 5th and run until May 31st of this year.

If you're planning on traveling to the Chicest City of the world within the next few months, you should take one night with your loved one (or by yourself...whatever floats your boat) and go see the show! The ladies will get to see all the great aspects with the song, dance, and fashion while the guys get to see naked girls. Winning!
